Hidden China Travel is the English-language site of Yunnan Meizhen International Travel Agency Co., Ltd. (云南美珍国际旅行社有限公司), a licensed travel agency in Kunming.

- The travel contract and all payments are with the licensed agency, to its corporate account.

Published starting prices on the 6-day and 8-day pages are a guide. The written proposal confirms the final price for your dates, group size and hotel style.
Service standard
These apply to every confirmed private journey:
- Private party only. You travel with the people in your booking, not a mixed coach group.
- Driver-guide throughout. A Chinese- or English-speaking driver-guide drives, coordinates the route and offers context. This is not a separate attraction lecturer inside every site. A specialist site guide can be added in the proposal.
- Private vehicle. Five or seven seats, matched to the party. The final vehicle is confirmed in writing.
- Travel insurance for the confirmed journey period is included. It does not replace your own international travel insurance.
- Written itinerary and travel contract before any booking or payment.
- Hotels, tickets and the vehicle are arranged only after the deposit.
How booking works
- Share your plans. Dates, group size and how you want the journey to feel.
- Review the written proposal. Joy sends an itinerary, inclusions and a quote you can adjust. An enquiry is not a booking.
- Confirm and pay the deposit. Sign the travel contract with the licensed agency and pay a 20% deposit to its corporate account. Arrangements start after that.
- Travel, then settle the balance. The remaining 80% is due after airport pickup, when the journey starts.
Payment
- 20% deposit after you confirm the written itinerary and travel contract.
- 80% balance after airport pickup, when the journey starts.
- Alipay or WeChat to the licensed agency’s corporate account.
- Stripe is a backup if Alipay or WeChat are not set up. Stripe charges currently appear under a personal name until the agency’s business merchant account is approved.
Cancellation and refunds
The 7-day window is counted from the departure date.
- More than 7 days before departure: the deposit is refunded, minus hotel or ticket costs that have already been booked and cannot be recovered.
- 7 days or fewer before departure: the deposit is kept.
Weather, tickets and transport can still change after booking. Alternatives are discussed before they are made.
